Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for the role of Detective Diane Russell. She is best known for her performance on All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. As the sole daughter to a senior executive of the United Auto Workers and a housewife, Delaney was raised with four brothers. When she was a kid, Delaney dreamed about becoming an official reporter for the court. She began modelling in highschool and eventually gained commercials when she moved into New York. Her first film role was as a teenager as a child in All My Children, a 1981 soap opera. Delaney an actress in her early years who was in her 20s, appeared in numerous TV shows and in dramas. Delaney has not lived a successful or happy personal life. The gifted actress was struggling to overcome the effects of alcohol and two marriages fall apart. In 2005 her custody was taken away from her.
