Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru as well as a mixed martial art artist that is competing with her country in UFC at the flyweight division, is currently participating. Shevchenko is the elder sister of her former UFC Flyweight champ and fellow UFC participant Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as a Muay Thai boxer. She made her debut in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the event and beat Suzane Mill in the finals by unanimous choice. Antonina Shevchenko won her second silver medal in 2007, winning a bronze in 2008, a gold in 2011, and won the title of 2016. IFMA World Amateur Muay Thai Champion. Antonia began her professional career by ringing in 2003. Antonina won the WKC K-1 World Championship 2012 for Light Welterweight along with The Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Keskikangas of the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was victorious by the unanimous verdict. Antonina shevchenko made her debut in a professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova at KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan. She took the win via second round TKO and won her next 2-fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003, accumulating a record of 3-3-0. Shevchenko took a short break from MMA and devoted her time to kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui by a unanimous decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in an unanimous vote. She left the Phoenix FC 4 promotion in 2018, and enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's improved strike technique enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the body. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina was given her a UFC contract following her win. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight, after winning her first bout by unanimous decision. Antonina recovered from her loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night reward for the bout. Shevchenko lost to Katlyn Cookagian and then beat Ariane Lipski in her subsequent three fights. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
